The `Bridesmaids` star proposed to TV presenter Dawn Porter on Boxing Day (26.12.11) on the British island of Guernsey, off the coast of France, where Scottish born Dawn was raised. Chris tweeted: "I`m so bored of all this happiness and sex. I`m getting married. #engaged "Aw, thanks for all the congrats guys. Feelin the twitter love today. Very happy & lucky boy. #engaged (sic)." Dawn also took to twitter to share the happy news, writing: "I guess he liked it, coz he put a ring on it #engaged "At Havelet Bay on boxing day. Very happy x "All your congratulations tweets are getting me VERY excited. Thanks guys, so glad you can all make it to the wedding. (sic)." Dawn - who revealed the pair are considering a summer 2012 wedding - explained that Irish actor Chris proposed with an emerald ring. She told the Guernsey Press: "The ring is gorgeous - an emerald, as he is Irish, and green to replace a green ring of my mum`s that I have worn on that hand since I was 16. "I was very surprised, but not a single part of me thought to say no, so that`s a good start. We went straight to the pub, the Ship and Crown for a bottle of champagne and a cottage pie. "There`s lots to think about. But I have a book to write before July 1 so I need to stay in control of my excitement and get that done too."
