The `Behind Closed Doors` hitmaker - who has had few romances since splitting from former wife Katie Price in May 2009 - is finally ready to settle down again and is convinced it will happen soon.
He said: "People keep asking me what my new year`s resolution is and, the truth is, all I want 2012 to bring me is a solid relationship. I`m going on a few dates at the moment and I don`t know why, but I feel like I will have met someone special by the summer. Watch this space!"
Peter - who has stepson Harvey, nine, son Junior, six, and daughter Princess Tiaamii, four, with Katie - also revealed he had an "awesome" Christmas and was delighted with a surprise present he received.
The 38-year-old star wrote in his column for new! magazine: "I hope you all had a great Christmas - mine was awesome. My 20lbs turkey went down a treat
"Junior was thrilled with his Wii and Princess loved her pink toy kitchen! Harvey loves frogs, so that was the theme of his stocking. I said I didn`t want any gifts, but my mates Karl and Johnny P bought me a kung fu punchbag - I want to get my black belt in kung fu by the time I`m 40."
