The head of Moscow metropolitan trade union Svetlana Razina consider that rolling-stock of capital subway needs urgent replacement. By her words, the majority of subway wagons have defects of wheels. "When wagons are sent to maintenance, only 10% of wheel pairs don`t have cracks", - noted Razina. The head of trade union also noticed that these cracks can cause large crashes. "For example in 2003 when bogie broke down, train was derailed and pieces of details destroyed tunnel equipment at distance of 200 meters". She also added that "small breakages of rolling-stock occur in metropolitan every day". "Metropolitan has money for renewal of car fleet. It is not money from ticket sales but also from advertisements. And I consider that there is an opportunity for change of trains", - noted Razina.
