MOSCOW, November 10 -- Russian President Vladimir Putin has noted changes for the better in the operation of Interior Ministry bodies and divisions, but at the same time believes that issues still to be addressed are many.
"Over the past year there have been certain changes for the better in the ministry’s operation. I have taken note of that. Interior Ministry troops and units expected to fight against crime, including organized crime, have been more effective," Putin said, as he received Interior Minister Rashid Nurgaliyev in the Kremlin.
On the list of the unresolved problems Putin mentioned the need to gain greater credibility with society.
"All tasks facing the ministry are well-known and I am hoping that the necessary resources will be mobilized for their solution," Putin said.
