The President’s direct communication with Ukrainian people has turned out a good tradition. On Thursday Viktor Yushchenko conducted a teleconferencebridge which broadcast his talking to Ukrainian students from the cities of Kiev, L’vov and Donetsk, in the air of 4 four Ukrainian TV-channels: UT-1, ICTV, STB and New Channel. The telebrige was called "President and Studentship. Talks about Future". The main question to be settled by Ukrainian system of education is Bologna Process. The President Yushchenko is deeply convinced, "Ukrainian will get the most profit of the Process, the world must know who a Ukrainian student is". The head of state has explained that the Bologna Process has established to attach an additional document which confirms the specialist’s scientific degree, granted by Ukrainian institutions of higher education. The document is to be acknowledged by any organization and to be attached to every diploma of higher education, originated by Ukraine. The President has also touched upon some acute educational problems typical of nowadays, e. g. many Ukrainian institutions grant the specialties which are able to perplex the world community with their novelty or non-conformity to established standards. Therefore such diplomas are not valid abroad, yet such Ukrainian educational bodies which are in charge of providing the students with inappropriate education must be called to account and the state should control the system of high education in order to avoid any negative precedents in future. The President has pointed out that the program "Ukraine - Opening Europe" is to be carried out in the framework of Bologna Process and its aim is to grant an opportunity to be educated abroad for thousands of Ukrainian students. Expanding on the question, asked by Donetsk students, whether he considers the corruption scandal broken out by the higher ranked authorities as betrayal of Maydan’s principles and ideals, he specified, "I was not born with the face which I have now. I drank the poison destined not only for me but for everyone because we had been living by such a regime". Here the head of sate has underlined that all the posts occupied by him previously enable him to state, he has never abused either of his power or position and does have "clean hands". As for involvement of the politicians of the presidential circle into the corruption scandal, the President holds the opinion, "These accusations have a political goal and not a single evidence, which could prove that the corruption has taken place, has been developed since that time". He has added as well, "The Maydan moto "Fight Corruption" has been turned into a mean and dishonest way of political pressure". MIGNews
