Justin Timberlake always lets Jessica Biel have her own way

The Hollywood couple - who have been together for five years and are set to wed soon - have had ups and downs during their relationship, but Justin has learned to let Jessica do things the way she wants to and make most joint decisions for them.

He said: "We have a couple of rules in our relationship. The first rule is that I make her feel like she`s getting her way in everything.

"The second rule is that I actually do let her have her way in everything. And so far, it`s working!"

The `Bad Teacher` star - who has dated Britney Spears and Cameron Diaz in the past - likes to always be chivalrous with his partner, and even asked her out for the first time "the old-fashioned way" by telephone.

He said: "There was nothing starry about the way we got together - it was very un-Hollywoodesque in fact. We met and got talking, afterwards I asked my friend if I could call her and ask her out. My friend called Jessica and Jessica said yes, and so I called her.

"And yes, I did it the old fashioned way - by telephone. That`s something I learned from both my stepdad and my grandfather - that there is thing called chivalry and it doesn`t have to die with the birth of the internet."

However, it was not easy for him to convince Jessica to date him as she initially knocked back most of his advances, but he talked her into it in the end.

He added to the UK edition of HELLO! magazine: "I had to be pretty persistent in order to get her to say yes. But I have a fair amount of tenacity and if want something I stick to it. And in the end she agreed."
