Minister of Finance Aleksey Kudrin suggests limiting of wages` growth in state companies. He is convinced that extra generosity in respect to officials spurs inflation. President charged Ministry of Finance to develop package of anti-inflation measures. "Wages in state companies is a sufficient part of expenses. Connecting it to inflation we can limit growth of monopolies` tariffs". State companies are actually very generous to officials. According to reports, Vneshtorgbank increased average wages by 58.7% and "Gasprom" - by 9% this year and by 23% last year. At present moment gas monopoly workers earn about 44 thousands of rubles per month in average, in central apparatus - 57 thousands. Thus growth of state worker`s prosperity actually exceeds inflation (11% by data of Russian Statistics Service).
