"The period of service in the army will be one year instead of two years", - the Minister of Defense Sergei Ivanov informed. In three years Russian Federation government will put into force the new law of military service. Ivanov pointed out that all along the new law the series of present delays will be cancelled. In the interview given to the "First channel" the Chief of Defense informed that at present time only 9% of youth go to the army without delay. If the period of active service decreases twice, military services will need twice more soldiers
