Information of private character about Russian can be collected only by their agreement and it will be prohibited to request data about nationality, religious belief, sexual orientation or convictions. New state bill "About personal information" contains these regulations. Authors of project intend to establish united demands on storage, exchange and protection of information. These regulations will be developed by special "federal organ of personal information rights` protection". Bill is prepared according to ratification of European Council Convention about natural person protection during automated personal data processing, which was signed by Russia in 2001. Constitutional legislation committee of State Duma intends to recommend its passing during first reading. Meanwhile about 300 people participated in meeting against passing of this law on Wednesday on Revolution square in Moscow.
