The service that provides with consultative-medical care and public assistance for HIV-infected persons and their relatives has been opened in Russia for the first time in a town Engels of Samara region, Engels district administration informed RIA Novosti. "Newly created service conducts purposeful and constant work for prevention of HIV-infection and rendering medical care and psychological help for patients registered in narcological dispensary", - said the representative from administration. Besides, on the threshold of Worldwide day of fighting against AIDS commemorated every year at 1 December, large action of fighting against AIDS started in the town under the direction of Department of health protection. Mass media, educational and cultural institutions and the office of young people’s problems were got to take part in the action.
