On Monday military court condemned officer, accused in undermining of "Neukrotimy" ship during preparation to Navy parade on Neva, to penalty in amount of 30 thousands of rubles. Officer of Leningrad Navy base, captain of second rank Andrey Kondratev returned guilty according to article 347 of Russian Criminal Code (destruction and damage of military property because of carelessness). As a reminder, On July 29, 2005 flagman patrol ship "Neukrotimy" entered aqua territory of Neva to open main parade of Russian Navy in honor of 60-th anniversary of victory in World war II. But as a result of mine plaster cast ship got leak and was directed to shipyard. In the view of the incident Commander-in-Chief of the Baltic Fleet admiral Vladimir Valuev as well as several head officers were called to disciplinary account. Investigation revealed that "the main causes of incident were insufficient control of preparation to Victory Day celebration from side of Navy administration and violation of security instructions by officials responsible for organization of this event".
