Government prepares Russians to gold-rush
Russian Ministry of Nature has suggested allowing natural person to take part in gold mining. Only juridical persons can be engaged in gold mining in Russia now.

Russian Ministry of Nature has suggested allowing natural person to take part in gold mining. Only juridical persons can be engaged in gold mining in Russia now.
The head of ministry Yuri Trutnev during the meeting of problems of development of gold-mining industry said his department supports the opportunity of participation of natural persons in gold-mining. He explained that mining is being done all the same and it can be legalized. The head of Ministry of Finance Alexei Kudrin supported him. Minister of finance said his department does not object to permit citizens for gold mining. He noticed there was no anything wrong in such permit.
According to Trutnev Russia will have extra afflux of gold with permit for citizens to gold-mining. He said hundreds of thousand people are busy in this industry and geological survey of gold is being financed more than other exploration work.
Trutnev informed Russia would mine 168 tons of gold in 2005 (3 billion rubles) and it was planned to increase mining by 50-60 per cent by 2015 up to 250 tons per year.
