According to government’s press-cutting service this resolution was adopted in pursuance of the president’s decree, "Interfax" informs.
According to the report standards of passport for Russian citizen, diplomatic passport and service passport forms were approved by the resolution. Colors of covers are going to remain the same.
Russian prime minister asked Foreign Ministry to inform foreign states about new passports in Russia which contain electronic medium.
According to a description there is a plastic loose leaf which contains a chip with an antenna. There is graphic and text documentation in the chip about passport’s owner.
