This was announced by deputy of Russian Nature Inspection head Oleg Mitvol. By his words, after benzyl compounds will get into Amur from Sungari river, fishing from Amur will be prohibited for several years. By forecasts of Russian ministry of natural resources, benzene can reach the Amur river on November 26, and not on December 8, as it was announced by Chinese. By estimates of Russian scientists, the content of dangerous substances in water will reduce at least 3 times by this moment. At the same time polluted by nitrobenzene waters can be used for heating system, therefore Habarovsk water supply will not be turned off. A crew for prevention of emergency at Habarovsk krai and Jewish autonomous region was formed. Tests of water from Sungari river are made every 2 hours. Benzene compounds got into Sungari as a result of accident on chemical plant in north-eastern part of China. This accident occurred on November 13. According tentative data, it was caused by problems with equipment. This version was declared on November 24 by representatives of Chinese law machinery. Investigation of accident continues.
