The main mass of Sungari waters, polluted by benzyl compounds, passed Harbin; benzyl spot moves to Amur. Water was polluted as a result of accident at chemical plant in Chinese town Czilin on November 13. 100 tons of benzene and its compounds got into Sungari river. Toxic spot, 80 kilometers long, passed Harbin for 2 days. Water tests, conducted on Sunday at 6 a.m. near one of city supply point, revealed 0.005 mg/liter concentration of nitrobenzene, which corresponds to national standards. Water supply in Harbin must reactivate by Sunday evening. By words of local authorities and ecologists, water will be safe for drinking. Premier of Chinese State Council Ven Czyabao ordered authorities of Heilunczyan to refine waters of Sungari river from toxic compounds by Monday. "We are national government. We must demonstrate high level of responsibility for people. We can not let even one person to stay without water". Analyses of water tests at junction of Sungari and Amur rivers don`t reveal increase of toxic substances concentration; situation in Amur basin is stable. Regional center of Ministry of Emergence noted that intensive monitoring of territory continues. By adjusted data, poisoned waters of Sungari will reach Amur on December 8-10 and by December 21 will reach Habarovsk. Meanwhile agiotage demand for bottled water reduces in Habarovsk. First days after information about possible cold water supply turning off citizens have bought almost all water storage in city. By information of regional Ministry of food industry, local businessmen increased production of bottled water by 25 times. Largest producers of beer in krai changed on production of water. Turning off cold water supply in Habarovsk will last for 40 hours, reported committee of regional emergency situations. It will happen not earlier than December 10, as toxic spots will approach to Habarovsk.
