Grand center of multigrade kinds of sports will appear in Moscow by 2012. Moscow mayor Yuri Luzhkov has signed the resolution of designing and building of the center. The construction will be situated to the address Elecrolitny passage, domain number 76, the site▓s square is 38.8 hectares. The architect is Nodar Kancheli. The roof crown will reach about 200 meters above curb. The center will have original appearance: it will be made of five vertical lines, similar to alps. All five slopes will be turned to the north and form shadow to make snow thaw for the most long time. Everyone will be able to indulge in winter sports not only when it is cold but in summer, too. There will be mountain-skiing route (tube shaped) of all-the-year-round using. Its length will be 600 meters, width - 50 meters and height - from 90 to 150 meters. The complex will have three ski jumps: 70, 90 and 120 meters, referees` towers, stands for the audience, covered tennis-courts and gymnasium for invalids.
