Deputy of Russian Nature committee head Oleg Mitvol personally examined plans of the Russian Head Emergency Ministry administration over Habarovsk krai. He appreciated increase amounts of water in krai and came to conclusion - if population will follow instructions of authorities correctly there will be no accidents. Mitvol also noted that there are enough sources of water supply in Habarovsk which are not connected with Amur. By his words, "schools, industrial and other organizations will not be closed as toxic spot passes the town". "There is no need in that", - said Mitvol. "Additional amount of water cisterns are washed and disinfected, children pre-school and school organizations will be supplied with drinking water", - he said. Mitvol especially emphasized that situation in Habarovsk is under total control from side of authorities, "all possible measures are taken to prevent emergency situation". Mitvol, referring to personal data of Amur and Sungari rivers` monitoring, said that toxic spot will reach Habarovsk within 2-3 days. "One should wait for passing of spot calmly, without panic", - he noted. Mitvol also disproved rumors that it is not safe to drink water in Habarovsk already at present moment. To support his words, after press-conference he filled glass with water from water-supply and drank it in front of journalists.
