Delegates of Habarovsk Duma appealed to Vladimir Putin and the leaders of Russian parliament about 10 milliard rubles` investment on finishing of new water-supply point - from Tunguska deposit of underground waters, not far from Habarovsk.
In opinion of delegates, new water supply allows to refuse from Amur water and to get more high-quality water from underground sources. This measure is dictated by threat of possible Amur pollution with chemical compounds, which got into water as a result of accident at chemical plant in China. Moreover, regional government spent 500 thousands of euros on refinement of water from Amur in order to supply population with drinking water.
Benzyl spot hasn`t reached Amur yet - its front edge approached Chinese settlement Tukhne located at Sungari river and rate of spot movement decreased.
Experts forecast that spot of toxic water will reach Nizhneleninskoe settlement of Jewish autonomous oblast by December 6-8, Habarovsk water supply point - by December 9-11, Komsomolsk-na-Amure - by December 13-15, and Nikolaevsk-na-Amure - by December 21-23.
Water tests are made every 6 hours. There is a special boat on air-cushion support, which allows tests at any place of river, which has already started to cover with ice.
