According to Rosstat’s materials the average actual length of working day on January-September was 7.04 hours and it was longer than in the same period of 2004 by 0,7%. But for all that the largest length of working day had farming workers, hunters and foresters (7.56 hours), and the shortest workday had employers of educational sphere (6.64 hours). In manufacturing activities the least time of working day on January-September of 2005 was fixed for workers in the field of leather manufacture, leather goods and shoe making (6.6 hours).
Rosstat’s materials show the number of hours worked concerned with decrease of working days in January-September of this year was decreased by 2.8%. Over a period under review 404000 of workers (1.1% of population) in organizations (without subjects of small-scale business) were working in half-time order for the initiative of administration: 740000 people had forced administrative leaves (1.9%). In comparison with the same period of 2004 population working in half-time order was reduced by 70800 people (14.9%), number of employees who had forced administrative leaves was reduced by 80600 people (9.8%).
Total scales of the forced part-time work concerned with administrative leaves and work in half-time order in organizations on January-September of 2005 were estimated at 170 m of man-hours, it is equivalence of absence from work of 115000 people (on January-September of 2004 - 131000 workers).
Experts of statistic department notice the greatest part-time work among manufacturing activities is in manufacturing of machines and equipment; carriers and equipment; rubber and plastic goods; electrical equipment, electronics and optical equipment; leather, leather goods, shoes; textile manufacture.
About 183000 of population or 25% workers who had leaves on January-September of 2005 did not get dollar adjustment for this period. In comparison with January-September of 2004 the number of workers who had administrative leaves without wages was reduced by 75300 persons or 29.2%.
The volume of cash income for Russian population was 10487.4 b rubles for January-October of 2005 and increased by 22.6% in comparison with the same period of the last year.
The population spent 7622.5 b rubles for buying goods and service payment for 10 months of 2005 and that is 25.1% more than on January-October of 2004. Savings for that period were 1931.8 b rubles, 22,7% more than the same period of the last year.
