HIV-positive citizen of China infected at least 18 people working as a donor for blood transfusion. 3 people have died. In period since January 2003 to June 2004 infected person was blood-donor for 15 times in Czilin province in north-east of the country. Mr. Song, the initiator of infection spread, earned money for living on his blood. By his words he didn`t know about illness till October of current year when appropriate analyses were made. Song`s blood was transfused to 25 patients, 18 of them have got HIV-virus. 3 patients died as a result of disease. Moreover, 41-year old Song infected 2 sexual partners. 11 people, including director and vice-director of blood transfusion station, are detained for investigation of the case.
