Saudi Arabia officially entered World Trade Organization and became its 149-th member. Negotiations about entering of the country to WTO lasted for 12 years. Only application from Chinese side was examined longer - 14 years. Meanwhile Russian entrance to WTO can be delayed till 2007. This opinion was expressed by the Ministry of Trade and Economic Development head German Gref at meeting of ministers of foreign affairs and trade ATEC, which took place in Pusan town recently. "The most optimistic forecast of Russian entering to WTO is middle of 2006. The most pessimistic variant - beginning of 2007", - said Gref. As a reminder, at present moment Russia finished negotiations about entering WTO with 50 out of 58 countries-members of this organization. The most complicated consultations are carried out with USA, Canada and Switzerland. Russia intends to end mutual negotiations within the frames of entering to WTO in December of 2005. Russia negotiates with 50 countries about tariffs and with 30 countries - about services.
