Victor Vekselberg, a businessman and art collector, is going to set up a Museum of Private collections in Shuvalov`s palace in St.Petersburg. City executive board grants the Palace on lease to the culture and history fund "Joint of time", established by the co-owner of "SUAL-holding" and the oil company TNK-BP. The work on the Petersburg`s department of "Joint of time" registration is on at the moment, informed the fund founders representative Andrei Shtorkh. According to his estimation, the fund will be able to come into lease by February 2006. After restoration works in the palace built in XVIII, private art collectors collections will be on display there. The businessman owns the collection of royal jeweler Carl Fabege’s works, which he bought from the Forbs family in 2004. 9 imperial Easter eggs and 190 other items of jeweler’s art cost Vekselberg over $100 mln. According to Shtorkh, initially Vekselberg was looking for the place to set up the Museum in Moscow, however, it turned out that it was easier to find location in St.Petersburg. Nevertheless, Vekselberg is not going to reject Moscow project. "We are planning two museums of this kind, both in St. Petersburg and in Moscow", explained Shtorkh.
