Amount of gold mining in Chukotka increased
For 11 months of year 2005 about 4378 kilograms of gold have been mined. This is 125 kilograms more comparing with the same period of 2004, informed press-service of regional government.

"There is a possibility that current results of gold mining will exceed characteristics of last year. In 2004 4447 kilograms of gold were mined in Chukotka", - noted in press-service.
The largest portion of precious metal has been mined in Chaunsky region (1966 kilograms) and Shmidtovsky region (1635 kilograms). 22 prospecting workmen`s cooperative association ran gold mining in 2005.
