Scales of crash at pipeline in Noglinsky district, North Sakhalin, were determined. As head administration of Russian Emergency Ministry over Sakhalinskaya oblast informed, "by tentative data oil blowout from pipeline amounted to 30 cubic meters, which is 27 tons on area of 1.2 thousands sq. meters". Overflow of oil took place on December 13, 2005, 10 km south from regional center Nogliki. By information of Emergency Ministry representative, 20 cubic meters of oil were collected and removed on December 15. Breakdown was discovered by workers of regional public organization "Ecological watch of Sakhalin". Oil ran out from underground part of pipeline, owned by oil and gas mining administration of "Katanglinneftegas". There is a threat of near-by lakes` pollution. The lakes are connected with the bay Nabil, where local people nivkhs start traditional fishing operations these days. It should be mentioned that navaga fish is the most important winter food for natives.
