More than half of Russians, 58%, consider that Russian culture and way of life are more close to countries of Europe. The opinion has been revealed by results of poll, conducted by All-Russian center of public opinion investigation. The most dissimilar to Russian turned out to be the American culture - only 7% of respondents named America related to Russia. 13% of Russians think that there are more similarities between cultures of Russia and Eastern countries (India, China). 22% found it difficult to determine whether Russia belongs to western or eastern group of countries by cultural features. Meanwhile, on question, which country threatens to national security and economic independence of Russia, answer USA was more popular. In opinion of 30% of respondents Americans threaten to Russian security. Another 17% see threat from China. Almost half of questioned, 49%, consider that there is no outward threat to Russian security. 33% of respondents associate USA with perspective of Russian economic enslavement. 19% named China as potential economic enslaver of Russia. Poll has revealed that European and ex-USSR countries don`t threaten to national and economic security of Russia. 27% of respondents don`t see any economic threat for Russia.
