Amount of Chechen citizens, sick of unknown disease, has increased to 83 people. As first deputy of Shelkovsky regional administration head Muslim Takhaev informed, by 8:00 a.m. on Friday 79 people with symptoms of poisoning have been registered in the region. Another 4 children are sick in Kulary village of Groznyy district of the republic. All patients have headaches, dizziness, asthmatic and panic fits. Some people complain on torpor of extremities. The illness has not been diagnosed, though people with similar symptoms started to address to doctors from December 17. In opinion of doctors from children republican hospital, this condition is a characteristic of poisoning by toxic compounds. Representatives of addiction clinic suppose that illness carries psychogenic character. By words of head doctor of addiction clinic Musa Delsaev, sick people have so-called psychogenic shortness of breath, which can be the consequence of hidden depression or hysteria.
