Front edge of polluted by dangerous chemical compounds Amur waters is 50 kilometers below Habarovsk. By data of Far East regional center of Russian Emergency Ministry, by Sunday morning concentration of nitrobenzene in Amur channel and Habarovsk water-supply points doesn`t exceed 0.02 mg/liter, which corresponds to 0.1 of maximum allowable concentration. Results of water tests at control post near Nizhnespassky village, 57 km up-stream of Habarovsk, didn`t reveal exceeding of maximum allowable concentration of nitrobenzene. During last day 72 water tests were made in Amur river. They were delivered to laboratory in Habarovsk, where chemistry of water is examined on presence of benzene, nitrobenzene, toxic metals, ammonia, nitrites, nitrates, oil products, toluene, xylene, para- and orthoxylene, chlorine and chlorophenol. By forecast of Emergency Ministry, front edge of polluted zone will reach Amursk on January 2-3, Komsomolsk-na-Amure - on January 4-5, 2006.
