During last years several hundreds of cars are burnt in France on the eve of Christmas and New Year regularly. Experts think that current vandalism actions have another origin than mass disorders in October-November, when representatives of immigrant community expressed the social protest. As a result of continuous disorders more than 9 thousands cars were burnt, large amount of public buildings and trade centers were damaged. Total damage was estimated in 200 millions euros. To struggle with disorders authorities introduced the state of emergency, which acts till present moment. The law allows setting of curfew, but this measure has not been used during celebrations of Christmas and New Year in any district of France. Nevertheless, local authorities banned sale of fuel in gasoline cans as a prevention measure. It is supposed that the ban will be cancelled on first days of New Year.
