On New Year`s Eve Moscow streets to be blocked even for busses

On December 29, 2005 Ilyinka street is to be blocked, in connection with New Year’s reception on behalf of Moscow mayor. The traffic is to be prohibited from 4 p.m. Moscow time until the end of event.
On New Year’s Eve (night from December 31, 2005 to January 1, 2006), in connection with outdoor fete, the traffic on Red, Tverskaya, Theatre and Lubyanskaya squares is to be prohibited. Beginning from 10 p.m. Moscow time until the end of event the streets Tverskaya, Mokhovaya, Ilyinka streets, Okhotny Ryad, Theatre and Lubyansky proezds, and Vasilyevsky spusk will be blocked for traffic. At the same time the streets Vozdvizhenka, New Arbat, Maroseika, Solyanka, Bilshaya Nikitskaya, as well as Sadovoye Ring and Nikitsky boulevard will be free for traffic. These streets are recommended for diversion route.
