"Poland should make a contract with Norwegian gas suppliers not to be subjected to irregular gas service of Russian "Gazprom", - announced premier-minister of Poland Kazimezh Martsinkevich.
By his words, Polish gas monopolist PGNiG should invest more funds in prospecting of gas deposits on territory of Poland.
Polish government discusses the possibility of construction of gas terminal, which will be able to accept gas, supplied by ships. By words of the head of Polish government, the inputs on construction will be less than the losses in case of Russian gas supply disruption.
"Gazprom" supplies Poland with 42% of total gas volume annually.
Norwegian gas suppliers declared from their side that they have small free powers and, therefore, no opportunities to ease the energetic crisis. "There is no chance for increase of export to any country", - said representative of leading Norwegian gas company "Statoil" Ola Morten Aanestad. By his words, "there are no alternative gas suppliers in Europe".
