According to him, the following results have been achieved in the course of this night negotiations:
"First, from now relationship between Ukraine and Russia in the field of gas supply is to be formed on the base of European price formula. Second, at present time the price for Russian gas for Ukraine constitutes $230/ a thousand cubic meters according to the formula", said Kuprianov to journalists on Wednesday.
Moreover, according to him, resulting from entered agreements Russia "provided for uninterrupted Russian gas supply to EU on the base of 5-year agreement".
Kuprianov also noted, that Russia agreed to pay for gas transit with money, as Gasprom insisted, instead of gas. The determined cost of transit - $1,6/a thousand cubic meters/a thousand km -completely complies with the current market price, says the official Gasprom representative.
Kuprianov underlined, the agreements come into force since January 1, 2006 with no grace period.
A very complicated period in Russia-Ukraine gas relationship was overcome, said Gasprom representative.
"A good base for fruitful Russia-Ukraine collaboration development in the field of gas supply", noted he.
This relationship, noted Kuprianov, has the perspective of joint work in the energy field of Ukraine and third countries markets.
Kuprianov underlined, that in future Gasprom is going to built up relationship with Russian gas buyers on the base of market relationship and principles of transparency and openness.
Kuprianov expressed sincere gratitude on behalf of Gasprom to international experts, who presented independent gas supply measurement results, as well as to the colleagues in European countries for moral support and understanding.
"All actions undertaken by Gasprom in the course of the very complicated situation, were directed first of all to provide uninterrupted gas supply to Europe. It proves Gasprom to be reliable partner for European countries", Kuprianov said.
