The extensive annihilation operation in Dagestan ravine is going on for the third day, despite of the intention to cope with them in the first half of the day. The territory is still rounded up. Marines and heavy artillery came to the scene. The supposed place of bandits’ shelter is being shelled from helicopters and mortars. According to the data from Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, five of eight bandits are killed. In the course of fire exchange one of the servicemen was killed, ten were injured, and two servicemen are considered to be missing. There has been no communication with them since yesterday evening. The events are occurring in the forest near the mountain foot, not far from Gimrinsky tunnel. The military men believe that after such mass shooting there hardly could stay anybody alive. However the operation is going on. According to on-line data Omar Sheikhulayev must hide himself in the forest, he has been wanted by Russian special service for quite a time. He was the main associate of the killed gang "Sharihat" leader. Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs officials believe he is one of the many terrorists attacks organizers.
