Gas relations is a two-way concern both of Ukraine and Russia, claims Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in connection with the US State Secretary Condoleezza Rice’s statements on the subject. "From the very beginning Russian party considered the question of gas supply only in the framework of bilateral relations", said the RF Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mikhail Kamynin, commenting the Secretary of State statements concerning Russian position on gas supply. "At the same time, Russia officially confirmed fulfillment of all its obligations of gas supply to EU and other European countries", reminded Kamynin. He also noted that the problem had already been settled on the ground of mutual interest and market economy principals. "It is well known that the question of gas supply to Ukraine has been settled in bilateral format, grounding on the mutual interest and market economy principals", ascertained Ministry of Internal Affairs representative.
