"Gazprom" and "Ukrainian Naftogas" made a mutual announcement that Russian-Ukrainian gas conflict is concluded. The document stated that public corporation "Gazprom" and "Ukrainian Naftogas" successfully resolved the contradictions and further co-operation in gas sphere will be based on mutual understanding and respect. The conflict is settled. Earlier "Gazprom" declared about impossibility for Ukrainian side to refuse from signed treaty about Russian gas supply to Ukraine. The statement was a reply to announcement of "Naftogas", which intends to refuse from purchase of Russian gas in 2006. On January 4 company published a message on official site about transition of work in gas sphere to market principles. Press-release informed that from January 1, 2006 "Gazprom" will supply Russian gas to company "RosUkrenergo" by price formula, according to which the start price of gas amounts to $230 for thousand of cubic meters. The fact that "RosUkrenergo" will use Middle Asian gas for supplies to Ukraine was also taken into consideration in the treaty. Supposedly, "RosUkrenergo" will sell Ukraine the gas by price of $95 for thousand of cubic meters from January 1, 2006.
