Today hearing of case against 4 Russian trawlers, which have illegally caught about 100 tons of fish, crabs and shrimps in Japan Sea, starts in Nakhodka port. All trawlers were detained during New Year holidays and conveyed to Nakhodka by frontier guards. Detained trawlers "Piligrim", "Vasily Lukanov", "Nord Wind" and "Shedar" are assigned to different ports of Littoral, Kamchatka and Habarovsk krai. None of trawlers had documents, permitting fishery of biological sea resources. In 2005 criminal proceeding were instituted against 26 trawlers-poachers, detained in exclusive Russian economic zone in Japan Sea. Illegal fishery was conducted by trawlers from Russia, China, Belize, Cambodia, Honduras and other countries.
