Ukrainian premier-minister Yulia Timoshenko considers that conducted on January 4 gas treaty between Russia and Ukraine "has sharply worsened situation with gas in the country". By her words, current treaty assigns Ukrainian obligations to transport Russian gas through Ukrainian territory by rate of $1.6 per 1000 cubic meters for 5 years, though world price on gas transportation through other countries is almost twice higher. Moreover, ex-premier minister thinks that signed agreement established "indefinite right of "RosUkrEnergo" to be the only monopolistic gas supplier in interior Ukrainian market". Therefore, as Timoshenko emphasized, there will be no direct contacts between Ukraine and Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. Timoshenko thinks that Ukraine can get into serious debitor`s prison to Russian soon.
