Turkmen Embassy in Russia disproved information about forth-coming rise in prices for Turkmen gas, which is supplied to Russia and then to Ukraine. "There were no announcements and comments on this issue from our side", - said representative of Turkmen diplomatic mission press-service. On Friday Russian mass media informed with reference to anonymous source in Turkmen Embassy in Moscow that president of Turkmenistan Saparmurat Niyazov will demand increase of prices for Turkmen gas to $85 instead of $65 for 1000 of cubic meters during planned meeting with Vladimir Putin in the end of January. Press-service of Embassy called these messages as "rude falsification" and "deliberate attempt to damage successfully developing Turkmen-Russian partnership". "Gazprom" informed that company concluded treaty about supply of 30 milliards cubic meters of Turkmen gas by price of $65 for 1000 cubic meters. This gas will be supplied to Ukraine through "RosUkrEnergo" company. Experts think that in case Turkmenistan increases price to $85 and price for Ukraine remains on established level of $95 supplies will become unprofitable. In order to avoid losses, "RosUkrEnergo" will have to increase release price for gas to $105-110.
