This was informed by premier-minister of the republic Andranik Markaryan today. He noted that appropriate agreement was completed with Russian side on this occasion.
"It was very important for us because winter months are most difficult and we can live them without shock", - said Markaryan. As premier-minister informed, starting from April 1 price for 1000 cubic meters of Russian gas will come to $110. But this sum is not final. "I am sure that negotiations between Armenian and Russian presidents will continue in January and final agreement will be reached", - said the head of parliament. Makaryan considers that increase of price for gas can initiate social tension in the country.
In this view Armenian government examines several scenarios of actions in order to minimize social consequences of price increase. At present moment Russia supplies gas to Armenia at price of $56 for 1000 cubic meters.
