Russia`s citizens leaving Moscow for the countries with bird flu receive special booklets, informed on Monday an official of Moscow Russian Federal Service for Monitoring Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare Administration. "The booklet for the citizens leaving for the countries with bird flu" were prepared in order to provide dangerous illness preventive measures, said the official. The booklet, in particular, recommends to avoid private farms, battery farms, pet shops and other places, where the contact with birds or poultry. "It is strongly recommended to avoid buying and eating meet of non-guaranteed quality, especially it concerns private tradesman. At the appearance of the acute respiratory decease during the trip or on the return from the countries with detected bird flu, people must appeal to the doctors immediately and inform the doctor about the abroad trip", says the document. Since January 7, the sanitary-quarantine inspection of the means of transport, freights, and passengers arriving from Turkey and neighboring countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia) in the international airports "Sheremetyevo-1", "Sheremetyevo-2" and "Vnukovo" is tightened. "During the period from January 7 to January 11 85 means of transport and 10 103 passengers have been inspected. No people with infection illness detected", noted the administration.
