Powerful snow cyclone, formed near Sakhalin shore, rages in Kamchatka for third day. As Kamchatka Hydrometeorological Center informed, amount of precipitations came to 60-106% of month norm. The height of snow reaches 110 cm in Petropavlovsk. Snowfalls are accompanied by gale-strength wind and snowstorms. Air communication of semi-island with continent failed to resume. Flights connecting Petropavlovsk with Moscow, Vladivostok and Habarovsk are delayed during January 18-20. Transport communication of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatski with settlements of Ust-Kamachatsky and Milkovsky districts is deranged. Studies in schools, several technical secondary and high educational institutions are cancelled in regional center for third day.
