On Tuesday Russian tennis-players Maria Sharapova and Nadezhda Petrova will determine semi-finalist of Australian Open tennis championship in duel. This will be their 5-th match within the frames of Female Tennis Association championships. Sharapova (ranked 4-th in Melbourne) has advantage over the rival in this "battle". Maria leads with score 3:1 - she lost to Petrova (ranked 6-th) in final match of group final championship WTA-2005 in Los Angeles when her participation in next stage was out of question. In 2005 Petrova and Sharapova played twice together, both times - in quarterfinals of Wimbledon championship. Maria won in 2 sets then, but she needed all 3 sets to defeat Petrova in USA Open championship.
