Russia uses record amount of electric power
On Monday evening the next maximum of electric energy consumption was passed, which constituted 150,3 thousand MWt. Unified Energy System CEO Anatoly Chubais declared it on Tuesday morning at the meeting of operative headquarter of the company.

"Every nine days we pass a new record of electric energy consumption in the country", noted he, having added that situation in this field stayed "extremely tough, but stable".
Touching upon the arisen situation in Moscow energy system, Unified Energy System CEO has noted, that despite rise in temperature, power consumption is still high.
According to Chubais, on January 19 at the temperature of - 29C maximum load constituted 13,3 thousand MWt, while on Tuesday, January 24, at the temperature of - 17C it has reached 15,2 MWt.
