Scientists of the Kuban Agrarian University forecast a lean year of fruit and berries, which may lead to abrupt rise of prices for this type of agricultural production.
"Hard frost has already crippled gardes of Kuban. Grape, apricot and peach trees are not used to such temperature. Not only buds, but branches have been frozen, which may banefully influence crop capacity of these cultures", said the scientists.
The same distressing consequences are expected in the regions of the Southern District, as Volgogradsky region, on Don and in republics of North Caucasus has been suffering from hard frost.
