Repairing works on the blown up gas pipeline "Mozdok-Tbilisi". Header pipe welding has been already finished. In the nearest time compressed air is to be supplied to the pipeline, a little later gas is to be gradually forced.

On January 22, in North Osetia explosions gas-main pipeline "North Caucasus- Transcaucasia" and ""Mozdok-Tbilisi" occurred. As a result Russian gas supply to Georgia and Armenia stopped.
Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili regarded it as Russia`s attempt to "put Georgia on the knees".
"It`s an unexampled act of vandalism toward us", he said.
"Gasprom" has decided to supply gas to Georgia via Azerbaijan. However, Georgia has started to search for another sources of gas supply. Georgian delegation has gone to Iran for negotiations.
