Russia has resumed gas supplies to Georgia through gas-main pipeline "Mozdok-Tbilisi". This was informed by representative of "Sevtransgas" enterprise, who participated in repair works. On January 22 explosions were registered at gas pipelines "North Caucasus-Trancaucasia" and "Mozdok-Tbilisi" in North Osetia. Russian gas supplies to Georgia and Armenia were shut down. Soon explosions in Karachaevo-Cherkesia destroyed 2 props of electric main "Caucasioni", which supplies Georgia with Russian electric energy. As a result of the incident a majority of Georgian regions stayed without gas and electricity. Georgian authorities called breakdowns at gas pipeline and electric line as sabotage supposedly organised by Russian authorities. From its turn Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarded reaction of Tbilisi on the accident "as hysterics and bacchanalia". After explosions "Gazprom" increased gas supplies to Azerbaijan so Baku could send excess of fuel to Georgia. It became known on Thursday that "Russian United Energy System" increased electric power supplies to Georgia more than thrice.
