Russian air force plans no flights to Georgia and through its airspace next week.
This was informed by head of Russian air force press-service colonel Alexander Drobyshevsky commenting announcement of Georgian side about closing of its airspace for Russian military aviation.
He noted that flights are made according to established plans and requests. "In January 2006 all flights of transport and military-transport airplanes of Russian air forces to Georgia were realized without excesses", - added Drobyshevsky.
Earlier representative of Georgian civil aviation department announced that Georgian airspace is closed for flights of Russian military and military-transport airplanes because of debts. He emphasized that measure has only economic ground.
"Service of military planes restores after offset of debt", - informed representative of the "Gruzairnaviagtion" company. The matter concerns military planes, which fly to Armenia through Georgian airspace.
At the same moment "Gruzairnaviagtion" company representatives emphasized that there are no political hidden motive - aeronautical maintenance is based only on commercial interest.
