The Russian Navy commander-in-chief Vladimir Masorin has announced the decision to buy British search-and-rescue complex on the base of "Pantera". "All the legal questions are settled, we are going to buy this complex on the base of "Pantera". I don`t think that it is so bad to buy foreign equipment. We must have the best equipment that exists in the present time in the world", said Masorin to journalists on Tuesday in St. Petersburg. The admiral has also informed that operators of emergency forces are being intensively trained , modernization of bathyscaphes "AS-28" is being conducted. "After profound modernization these bathyscaphes will preserve only the housing, the filling will be new, they will be habitable just like now ", said Masorin. He also reminded that in December 2005 the newest rescue vessel "Igor Belousov", which is to enter the Russian fleet by the 2009.
