Southern Osetia to receive Russian gas today
Gas supply from Russia to Southern Osetia is to be resumed on Tuesday before the end of the day, director general of "Yugosetgas" Vladimir Bitiyev has announced.

He noted that inhabitants are already told about necessity to follow safety measures. The company personnel has already done the prophylactic work in the tenement houses, office buildings and enterprises.
At the present time gas supply to Southern Osetia is accomplished through the territory of Georgia according to the agreement with the company "Itera-Georgia".
On January 22, as a result of explosions on the territory of North Osetia near Russian-Georgia border, both the reserve and the main gas pipeline Nothern Caucasus - Transcaucasia. Gas supply to Georgia, Armenia, Southern Osetia has been interrupted. On January 27 Georgia urgently signed an agreement on gas supply with Iran.
Gas delivery is to constitute 2 million cubic meters a day. The price of Iranian gas - $120 per a thousand of cubic meters (it is $10 more than Russian gas).
