Russian anti-virus program builders warn about possible attack of new computer worm Nyxem on February 3.
"Last week computers were subjected to infection by new harmful "worm", which would attack on February 3 and every third date of the month", - was reported by designer of anti-virus programs Trend Micro.
"Therefore, February 3, 2006 can become the last day for hundreds of personal computers infected by Nyxem", - warns another designer of anti-viruses "Kaspersky laboratory".
New worm spreads through internet as an attachment to infected e-mail or files placed in open network resources.
Virus represents file of 95 kilobytes in size spreading in Windows system. The letter with attachment has 25 different names, which complicates operative disclosure of the infected letter by user.
As Nyxem worm is launched on computer it automatically creates Zip-archived file with the same name. Then "worm" duplicates itself to the root of automatic start. Therefore, harmful process starts operation with next loading of the computer.
Nyxen scans file system of the infected computer and sends itself to found e-mail addresses.
