USA Ministry of Defense reported that Russia at transitional stage of its development represents no threat in comparison with USSR period. American servicemen intend to co-operate with Russia in protection of mutual interests, such as non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, opposition to terrorism and struggle against drug business. At the same moment authors of the report noted that democratic principles in Russia are violated, activity of non-governmental organizations is shut down, press freedom is suppressed, political power is centralized and economic freedom is limited. "USA greets Russia as constructional partner but is concerned of destructive weapon sales to foreign countries and of activities undermining political and economic independence and territorial integrity of other states", - was said in report. The authors of the report consider China as country of highest potential for rivalry with USA in military sphere. Pentagon considers that China "can compensate traditional military advantages of USA in nearest future". China continues to invest large funds in development of army and strategic weapon. For last 10 years China annually increased military expenses by 10%. At the same moment defense politics of China remains restricted. "External world doesn` t know about Chinese motives and methods of decision-making", - was said in report. USA consider India the key strategic partner. Last year USA president and Indian premier-minister have declared about partnership of the countries, which will provide them global leadership in spheres of common interests.
